RUAG is undergoing a comprehensive business transformation with the aim of making the work lives of its employees and managers easier. In order to achieve this, processes, systems, organization and data were optimized. The goal was to ensure efficiency and strict compliance with regulatory requirements in the defense & aerospace environments. As part of the “Cervino“ transformation program, all the business processes were harmonized across the various business units and integrated into the new version of SAP S/4HANA. UNITY supported RUAG for three years in developing the target processes of the entire E2E process house and deriving the requirements for the target organization. In the first step, the highly individual processes were analyzed, optimized in terms of efficiency, and harmonized for company- wide use. The processes were then broken down into work steps and the process-relevant documents were prepared. Through consistent harmonization, process maintenance is simplified, process efficiency is increased and certification in audits is facilitated. To prepare the organization for the changes, UNITY developed and implemented a comprehensive change strategy in close cooperation with RUAG. Customized formats of communication, leadership and participation were created to empower employees.
